The uniquely difficult family history most African Americans share can make it quite challenging to find clear records of their ancestors’ lives. The goal of this campaign was to show Black Americans that through untraditional research techniques and lesser-known record collections, their relatives’ stories can indeed be found—and honored as deserved.
